DDC Expands Transformer Solutions and Capabilities with the Acquisition of North Hills™ Signal Processing Corp.

Data Device Corporation (DDC), a leader in high reliability Connectivity, Power, and Motion Control solutions, announced the expansion of its transformer product offering with the acquisition of North Hills Signal Processing Corporation, completed on May 5th, 2017. North Hills Signal Processing is the leading supplier of MIL-STD-1553 data bus couplers, network testers, and related hardware including cables, connectors, and terminators. Since 1953, North Hills has been a leading supplier of wideband video and RF transformers, offering superior performance and product consistency. This addition of North Hills Signal Processing to the DDC family greatly expands DDC’s transformer product and technology portfolio with new MIL-STD-1553, RF wideband, interface and power magnetic solutions, along with expanded manufacturing capabilities and engineering resources.

DDC Receives Missile Control Actuation System (CAS) & Fighter Aircraft Radar Contracts

DDC has received a development contract for the design and support of the Control Actuation System (CAS), to be deployed in the next generation of US Army’s guided missiles. This award affirms DDC’s commitment to high-reliability military applications and represents DDC’s highest level of motor control integration for missile applications. "DDC’s ability to deliver innovative engineering solutions, and design compact and efficient products, made DDC the technological partner of choice", stated Michael Agic, Product Line Manger, Motor Controllers and Drives.

DDC has also delivered first samples of the new PWR-82335 hybrid 3-phase power drive module for utilization in a fighter aircraft radar application. The PWR-82335 is a successor to the PWR-82331 motor drive, and represents an updated and more efficient motor drive solution. The PWR-82335 is a pin-to-pin compatible replacement for the PWR-82331, and is recommended for new designs.
